What children practice
Mindfulness & Breathing
Age-appropriate techniques from balloon breathing to box breathing — with the neuroscience explained to older children.
Emotional Literacy
A rich vocabulary for feelings — because children who can name emotions precisely regulate them more effectively.
Self-Regulation
Recognising when you're overwhelmed and applying a practiced tool before reacting. Responding, not just reacting.
Empathy
Through stories and role-play, children practise imagining how others feel — a teachable, measurable skill.
Conflict Resolution
A structured peace path: breathe → use "I" statements → listen → find what both people need → agree.
Friendship Skills
Joining groups, including others, disagreeing respectfully, and repairing relationships after conflict.
How sessions are structured
Check-in
Group check-in circle
A brief check-in with a word, emotion card, or number. Normalises expression and helps educators notice who may need support. Never forced.
Core block
Skill practice
Focused activity on the weekly theme — mindfulness, role-play, guided reflection, or discussion. Always age-appropriate.
Skills, not therapy
Connection
Closing activity
A cooperative game or partner activity that builds trust and belonging. Every session ends warm and connected.
Take-home tools
Breathing Card
Illustrated techniques children can use independently at home.
Feelings Chart
A daily check-in tool for home use, reinforcing emotional vocabulary.
Family Tip Sheets
Each week's skill explained, with suggestions for how to reinforce it at home.
Reflection Journal
For children aged 8–12 — building self-awareness and growth mindset over the term.
