Every body belongs
Choice play
Child-directed movement
Children choose their activity. Research shows child-directed physical play builds a lasting love of movement.
Cool down
Regulation & transition
Gentle stretching, breathing, and a brief reflection to help children settle before quieter activities.
Why movement matters
Brain & learning
Physically active children show better grades, memory, and classroom focus (CDC).
Emotional wellbeing
Exercise releases endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine — reducing anxiety and stabilising mood.
Social skills
Cooperative movement builds turn-taking, communication, and teamwork.
Sleep quality
Regular physical activity is one of the strongest predictors of healthy sleep duration.
